Prayer for Juni Blessed Cat

Juni my blessed cat

was born on the day
which I visited the first home
I rented when I moved to Hobart
from Canberra.

Before him was
Sara the kitten
who was killed in her kittenhood.

Before Sara was
Rastus the solid grey cat
who I found a new home for
when I moved to new rental home
and could not keep Rastus.

Rastus was 2 years old
when he found a new owner.

Before Rastus was
Piffle the cat
also known as Patches

he was shy and never fought.
he would run and hide.
he lived to his adult years,

he was viciously killed by two dogs
on his front door.

Juni Blessed cat
is the reincarnation of all those cats
Juni lives on with me
and he is very happy
and knows much love

he is my blessed companion
God bless Juni
